What's New on DJAY.ca?

Every aspect of our continuous audio streaming experience has been tuned for fidelity, speed, and audio control:

• Multi-Bitrate Stream Quality Switcher (HQ / 128k / 256k / 320k):
  • For stations offering multiple broadcast mountpoints, you can now fine-tune your stream bitrate directly from the persistent audio player dock using the new Quality button.
  • Opening the menu lets you switch between standard efficiency streams and high-definition master feeds in real time.
  • Zero Audio Dropouts: Switching stream bitrates swaps the live audio pipeline seamlessly, preserving your active playback state without resetting buffers, pausing music, or bouncing you back to the start of a session.
  • Sidebar Quality Pills: You can also adjust stream quality directly from the slide-out Track & Station Details drawer (ℹ) while checking out song credits, artist info, and official broadcast links.
• Exploded Multi-Genre Filtering & Multi-Badge Station Cards:
  • Stations frequently blend multiple sounds. Our catalog now recognizes comma-separated genres (e.g. Trance, Progressive, Electronic or Rock, Classic Rock, 80s).
  • The Radio Hub automatically explodes and indexes each individual genre into clean, responsive filter pills at the top of the directory.
  • Station cards now feature discrete, multi-colored genre badges so you can see a broadcast's full sonic palette at a glance.
  • Cross-Genre Recommendation Engine: The "More In This Genre" section in the details flyout now searches across all assigned tags, helping you hop between related stations with greater musical variety.
• Full Open Access for Everyone:
  • All visitors and community listeners enjoy 100% free, unrestricted access to all stations and all bitrates! Experience your favorite internet radio stations at the highest resolution available.
